Hospitaleros, or hostel owners, are people who provide food and shelter to pilgrims along the Caminos of Spain. As people from around the world make the trek to Santiago, albergues doors are open to the weary travelers.
A pilgrim’s credentials will allow a pilgrim to have a bed, a shower, and sometimes a meal for less than the cost of a restaurant meal.
Many albergue owners are former pilgrims themselves who were so struck by the way of life on the Camino, they decided to be a part of that life.
Come listen their stories and hear about the current state of the Camino de Santiago directly from the people most affected.
