Astorga to Foncebadón · 25.9 km / 16.1 miles
Today the Camino climbed. Out of Astorga, through the Maragatería villages and up into the Montes de León to Foncebadón, a stone village that was almost abandoned and has come back to life because of pilgrims. Tired legs, a warm table, and a group that was starting to feel like family.
“The mountains are calling and I must go.”
John Muir
“You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
Isaiah 58:12
Foncebadón was almost abandoned until pilgrims brought it back to life. What part of your life feels empty or forgotten, and what might God be ready to rebuild there?
