Villadangos del Páramo to Astorga · 28.0 km / 17.4 miles
We crossed the long medieval bridge over the Río Órbigo and walked on into Astorga, with its cathedral, its Gaudí palace and, yes, its chocolate. It was a long day, and the lesson was simple: walk your own pace. The river does not rush, and it always arrives.
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”
A. A. Milne
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
