Mira Hajsan is from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

I have 3 grown up children, Chris is my oldest (he is single) and he is my go to for walking when I can’t find anybody else) my husband is not much of a walker due to some health issues .. the other two children are married, my second son Anthony lives close to us and my youngest (Angela) lives in Squamish, British Columbia.
I was born in beautiful Croatia and came to Canada when I was 10 years-old, my husband is Croatian as well.
It would be nice to have an App walking through Croatia… it’s a beautiful country
What motivates you to walk?
Great exercise, meet up with friends catch up while walking
What inspired you to use the Camino for Good app?
I saw a post of friend of a friend using the app, and immediately thought what a great idea, as I would love to walk the real one (once I retire 5-7 year plan) and also an incentive to walk “more”
How often do you walk? How far do you usually go?
Prior to getting the app, I would walk 2-3x per week. I belong to a few meet-up groups (walking & hiking)
How does the weather impact your walking?
The weather does not impact me too much, have been walking in cold weather, but if its pouring rain, most likely will not venture out.
What has walking done for you spiritually? Mentally? Physically?
I Love the fresh air and walking with friends is great therapy, I get energized after my walks and when alone I would pray for all in need and for the sick
Where do you live? Describe your walking terrain.
I live in Mississauga, just outside of Toronto, the terrain is flat, but I do live close to a beautiful park along a river so that is mostly where I do my walking, we have beautiful trails around and also not too far from Lake Ontario, my middle son lives close to the lake and I have a 3 month old grandson. So once or twice a week I pick him up and take him for a 1 hr walk (baby buggy/stroller)
