Hi, I’m Susan, one of the founders of Camino for Good. I’m really excited to have you all on the ‘Born to Run” team.
I am an experienced hiker from Nashville, TN and walked the Camino de Santiago in 2018. Walking the Camino was a deeply moving experience and changed my life. I enjoy walking and I am excited to share this Virtual journey with you. Together we can make a difference in the world around us.
I’ll be here with you all the way as we travel our Camino. Whether we finish in 3 months or it takes us a little longer, I will be here to offer support and encouragement.
Just below is our group’s community forum. This is where we will connect with, support, and receive support by others in the group. The intent is to uplift each other in the journey ahead. I’ll be making sure that respect is up held.

Why is this a Walk for Good?
We commit that 75% of our net income goes towards aiding the albergues (Spanish hostels) along the Camino de Santiago.
COVID-19 has not been kind to the pilgrim hostels and the time is now to help the hostel owners make it through the winter season and the uncertainty of the year ahead.
- With the cessation of travel due to COVID-19, these albergue hosts find themselves without income.
- Many are unable to cover basic living expenses, like rent, electricity, and water.
- Supporting the albergues now ensures they will be ready to receive pilgrims when the Camino re-opens
